Have you ever started a project that you never completed?
Do you wonder why?
You were so excited when the idea first came to you, and it was fun getting started, but then it stopped being fun...
Do you see it occasionally or think about it and say to your self "I really should get that done - it would be such a big waste if I didn't"?
Did you ever dream of doing something, but never really get to it, even though you really wanted to, and you really thought it was a good idea?
Did you remind yourself from time to time that you really should get started, and feel bad that you didn't?
I used to be like that.
Abraham has changed me.
I look at things differently now and I do things differently.
I actually dream more and do less now.
Gina wrote to me a few weeks back. She had spent two years developing a product, and now when it was finally taking shape, she had lost the inspiration to complete it. She wanted to know why?
A summary of her email to me is as follows:
Gina: A few years ago, I received an idea(concept ) for a product that I believe came to me from Source. Initially, I ignored the idea for almost a year, but because I was frustrated with corporate life and felt directionless, I gave into to this gnawing feeling that I should resign - my life changed immediately. Over the years my happy level significantly increased and the gnawing feeling dissipated and I continued to work on the product.
Everything I needed just literally came to me - the people appeared, and opportunities came and I did well on many fronts. My life has been truly good. But it bothers me that I have not completed what I set out to do.
It has been almost 2 years and the project has evolved from one concept to another but I haven't felt or received any inspiration to move it to completion; it's as if the universe has stalled. I would look at my creation and get so excited before, but now, I don't feel anything other than some discomfort because I don't see any movement forward...
How do I get the inspiration to move forward? How do I know if this was merely the path to bring me to Abraham and greater awareness? I have a good life...but...
Hello Dear Gina,
Listen to the video above. I believe that it will help you. It certainly helped me a lot.
By listening to this I understood that my job was to say "yes" to all the wonderful opportunities and ideas that were coming to me and enjoy them - sometimes, just by day dreaming about them. The purpose of all things is to give us joy and if we got the joy then the work is done.
I have countless manuscripts of books that I started to write and never finished - but it does not matter to me, because the fun was in the birthing of the new idea and dreaming of its delicious completion. As far as the world is concerned, I have not written those books but as far as I am concerned I have already experienced the joy of writing them and now it is time for something new. For if I forced myself to sit down and complete each one - it would drive me nuts - there is no interest in them any more and I would be forcing myself to do it - so why should I force myself when there is so much more in the world to enjoy and so many new desires to birth that are not coming from a place of being forced?
The only reason we ever crave the completion of an idea is because we want the recognition from others and their appreciation for our efforts or we feel that we are letting ourselves and others down by not doing what we said we would. We literally don't give ourselves permission to change our mind! Sometimes, an old idea is re-kindled, but if it is not then it is time to move on. Now, if the completion of this project was important to you still - then I would say you have to do the vibrational work to line-up with the idea again and re-kindle it. If you cannot re-kindle the flame then in any case you will not be lined up and therefore you will not be maximizing your potential.
When you gave up your job you gave up the resistance that it created in your life, and in that one swoop of letting go of all resistance, the right ideas and the right people showed up in your life to take you to the next mile marker on your journey. You see, life is a journey with many mile markers - reaching a mile marker along the path does not mean that the journey has been completed.
I hope that helps. If you still need further clarification we can book a coaching session and take it from there. But I do not think that you need coaching. I think you are doing very well. I think all you needed was confirmation that what you already know in your heart to be true is actually true. I am happy to be that witness of your journey who helps you to your next mile marker.
Much love and appreciation,
And so dear friends, my new mantra these past few months has become “just say yes”.
It is a very powerful way to live. Let me explain.
I believe that the universe is always looking after me, and therefore, there is never any need to worry, never any need to evaluate the pros and cons of anything. I accept whatever comes to me as the perfect thing for me in that time and space, and I say “yes” to it all. I trust that if I do the vibrational work to stay mostly in alignment then all things that come to me would be good for me – the Universe will never match me up with anything unwanted.
I also believe that things that come to me are just mile markers on my journey towards my end destination – death. To me this is a great way to live, because there is no attachment to anything – just an enjoyment of things in the moment. Let’s take a really vivid example. I live in a beautiful house that I love very much. I often daydream about what I would do to improve it, new décor, up-grades etc. It is wonderful where I am – but am I so attached to it that I say to my self “this is it” – this is where I want to live for the rest of my life? No never. I love it, but it would be easy for me to move. It is just perfect for now. Do I have dreams about other places I would like to live – absolutely! But I am happy where I am and for now it is good enough to enjoy the daydream. Life is very peaceful and placid because I think and feel this way – and I truly understand what Abraham means when they say “happy where I am and eager for more”.
Accepting everything with a “yes” a wonderful way to live life. The other day, I had two chaps show up at my door step, selling water purification systems. The old, Zehra would have said “no thank you” and closed the door. The new me said, “there is reason for their being here, I will soon find out what it is”. And so I invited them to give me their detailed presentation. The result – I really liked what they showed me. I bought the system. It had clear advantages that were important to me, and the price worked out to extremely affordable. It was all good. After the whole transaction was done and the guys had left, it struck me suddenly that this was in answer to my asking. You see, my mortgage is coming up for renewal later this year, and I have been evaluating ways of improving my already good credit score to an excellent score so that I can negotiate better interest rates. Getting the water purification system was an opportunity! I could finance this with a loan, and then turn around and pre-pay the loan prior to my mortgage renewal – an excellent strategy to kick it up a notch. So you see, I not only benefited by having better quality water, but I benefited also for other reasons – the timing of this was impeccable, and it would not have happened if I did not have the attitude of saying “yes”. The universe showed me clearly why this opportunity had come and how I could use it. I love the law of attraction.
Part of saying “yes” is believing that you can never go wrong, because in the end you always find your way. Sometimes, I can waver from the direct route and take a detour that takes me on to a relatively rough patch of road, but I always find my way back to the main highway, because I know how to read and follow my emotional indicators. All is always well, and the Universe is so powerful and all knowing that it can find ways for me to prosper in any and all circumstances. So even in adversity, there is some good, and from that position you can reach higher. I have so many personal examples to illustrate this – but one really strong one that comes to mind is from a couple of years ago. At that time I was on the verge of bankruptcy. One morning I woke up with the idea that I should rent some of the rooms in my very large and mostly unoccupied house to students and that this would help me carry the mortgage. This rental strategy was instrumental in completely turning things around for me. Being close to bankruptcy might be called a negative experience but it was fantastic for me. I learnt so much from it. It was the turning point in my releasing many of the negative beliefs related to money, and the beginning of a new journey after a long detour off the main highway.
Some of you might have read about the car crash I was in last year? That too was a blessing in disguise, for I got from it exactly what I wanted. I only lamented the crash for the couple of hours it took to get home. Once I was home, all was well. I felt totally taken care of for every thing worked out beautifully. That car crash served me well.
Thinking that a mile marker is your final destination is a “trap”. The job or business you are in is not your final destination – it is just what serves you in this moment in time. I was coaching someone a few weeks ago. I will call him Philip. One of the areas that Phil and I were working on was money and career. The last time I spoke to him, he was really excited about an opportunity that had come to him out of the blue through one of his friends. The next time we spoke he was dejected about it – he couldn’t understand why that opportunity had not gone to completion – he was so certain that because the Universe had orchestrated it, that it was a sure shot thing. Good question right?
I explained to Philip that this opportunity was only a mile marker on the way. It was telling him the direction that he was taking in his journey. “Do you like the direction Philip? Do you like the opportunity that the Universe sent you?” I asked him. “Yes, I thought it was perfect” he said. “Then why did I not land the contract?” “Because, it was just a mile marker and not your final destination – all it’s telling you is that you are heading in the right direction. Now, if you sit and complain about the fact that it did not amount to anything, do you think that the Universe will bring you more opportunities like it?” I asked. He knew the answer. Isn’t it easy when we look at it like that? Appreciate that the opportunity came, appreciate all the coincidences that the Universe created to bring it to you, and tell the Universe, “I like that, can I please have more and next time please add some more bells and whistles for me!” And the Universe will do just that. And if you did so then you would be one who says “yes!”
It’s funny that because of saying “yes” over the past few months I have had so many new money making opportunities come to me. And you know what? I have said “yes” to all of them. My partner, Florian asked me “don’t you think you ought to focus on the ones you really want to do?” “But I want to do them all” I said. “They are all so much fun and so exciting and I see the potential in all of them” I said. “But how will you be able to do it all?” he asked. “I don’t know and I don't need to know all of that right this minute” I said. “I’m just going to focus on having fun with them and then the ones that are not for me will fall away on their own, and the ones that continue to be fun will come with me on my journey – in the meantime, I will do them all”. You know friends, all of the opportunities did not keep being fun for me – some of them became tedious. I realized that it was not because the opportunity was bad or lacking in any way. It was only because I did not want to play with it any more; (just like the child who gets a new toy and is bored with it in a few minutes) – something more had come about and now I was on to the next exciting thing.
Did I lose anything with this attitude? Not at all. I made new friends and met some really amazing people. I learnt more about the possibilities out there. I learnt also, that a business doesn’t have to be big and grand for it to make money and that there are many people who do simple little things and make a ton of money. I learnt also what my preferences were and what I truly wanted – giving more definition and clarity to my vision for my own future.
Life has actually become so exciting and fun with this new attitude. Creativity is bubbling inside me all the time. I have so many ideas buzzing in my head, and I have realized that I don’t really have to put them all into action or follow through on all of them. It is enough just to milk them in my imagination, that too is a way of saying “yes” to them, and then the Universe sends me more and more and more and more…yummy! It is a good feeling. I recommend it to you – try it!
And then there are some ideas that stick. Not only that but the right person who can help me put them into action magically appears, and the whole thing develops a life of it’s own. So much fun!!!
Thank you Abraham. Thank you Jerry and Esther. You have been and continue to be my guides in this exciting life journey.
My love to all.
