This is a time of the year when we all dwell on the year gone by. We sort of take stock of our lives wanting to feel further ahead than we were at the beginning of the year.

It's natural.
We want to feel growth.

We want to know that we have grown in all aspect of our lives - it makes us feel our own value.
But there are times when life can feel like it's at a standstill - like we are treading water; like there is no real movement forward.
I know I have felt that way in the past.
I have looked at my accounts and felt like instead of paying off debt during the year, I have taken on more. I have used up all my savings and have nothing to show for it.
I remember this one year when the windshield of my car was cracked and I didn't have the money to get it fixed. I felt afraid of driving, but I was in sales, driving all day was pretty much part of the job. It was around this time of the year. I felt defeated.  I felt ashamed that I didn't have a couple of hundred dollars available even on a credit card. It wasn't just about the repair - it was deeper than that. The windshield was not the only thing in my life that needed repair.
After spending an afternoon moaning and groaning - calling around to see if I could get it done cheaper, I decided that I just couldn't deal with it. There was no point in thinking about it any more. There was no money - and that was it.
There was relief in that thought. I could stop fighting against the current. It was what it was and there was nothing I could do about it.
The next day I got a call from my son's school requesting his vaccination record. They ought to have had it on file, but for whatever reason it was missing from his file. Of course, I started looking for it right away - I'm pretty organized about things like that, so I knew exactly where to look. I pulled out the box of files and started looking through them, when suddenly in-between the files I felt some loose papers - confused I pulled them out. There in my hands was $700 in beautiful brand spanking new bank notes. I couldn't believe my eyes. Surely, I could not have put $700 into a box of files and forgotten about it?  First of all, having $700 to stash was not something I could afford to do - and why on Earth would I put it with the files?
The only answer to this riddle was that the Universe had found a way to help me out. I sat and thought about it. Why didn't the money show up sooner? Why now? Why in this box? Why the exact amount I needed to get the windshield fixed? Why did the school ask for a document that would be in that same box? Why did they decide to ask for it right at this time? Why? Why Why? And, most of all, why doesn't money always show up in ways to surprise and delight me?
I just had to sit down and think. I just had to apply everything that I had learned about the Law of Attraction to this event and figure it out...and I did.
My biggest take away was the understanding that the Universe, that which we call God, always wants us to have what we want. We're the ones who put up all sort of seemingly "logical" arguments about why it cannot happen. The minute we give up arguing about it and decide to move forward  - the minute we give-up trying to control the situation, the solution magically appears.
Has there ever been a time in your life when you felt like there was no way out, and then when you gave up the fight a way forward magically appeared? You see, we have a tendency to only see up to the limits established by our minds. This creates anxiety. It seems like there is nothing beyond what our logic has evidence for - but there is.
As you move into the New Year 2026, leave everything behind. Leave all those logical arguments about why you cannot have, be or do everything you want behind.
Start fresh.
