Day 22. We are all the same, no one is superior to me, no one is inferior to me, we all come from the same Source and we all return to it
When we look at everyone around us, every living thing and know that we are all made of the same stuff, then we know the we are all extensions of Source. We are all equal. This knowing is at the base of all worthiness and confidence.
Many years ago I started using this affirmation as a reminder that helped me boost my self-confidence and worthiness. It came from a poem written by the poet Iqbal that is loosely translated as “when the master and the servant stand in a pew to pray before God, who can tell which one is the master and which one the servant?”. When I read that poem at school, those words resonated with me, and where all other stanza’s of that poem have been erased from my memory that one remains as a reminder of who I really am.
When you encounter situations where you think someone else has more power than you, remind yourself of this affirmation. It has served me well at job interviews, conversations with my superiors at work, and other situations that I felt were difficult because I perceived others to have power over me. It was a good reminder that no one has power, and that we create our own obstacles when we perceive that others have power.
This affirmation also helps us to become more unconditional in all our relationships because it helps us to look at everyone and everything through the eyes of Source. So today, when you meet someone, silently say Namaste and remind yourself that God, sees everyone as equal, when you hate someone God still loves them, God never abandons anyone for we are all waves that come from God, we always remain connected to that which is our Source and we all return to it when we run the course of our lives.
