I love Abraham’s words “happy where I am and eager for more”. Being satisfied in the present moment, means letting go of all conditional thinking. Conditional thinking is saying things like “when this changes then I will be happy”, when we say things like that to ourselves we give up being happy in the moment, and create unnecessary connections between being happy and something that we want.
The problem with that sort of conditional thinking is that we will always be on our way to something.
The joy of manifestation happening only lasts for a little while and then something else grabs our attention. For example, you get a new job, you are happy, and then contrast gets your attention again, “I wish…, I wish…, I wish” – there is always something to wish for and if we put our happiness on hold until our wishes came true we would never be happy in life.
Life is about finding joy in the little everyday things throughout our day and not making a big hairy deal out of anything. You don’t like something look away from it towards what you do like and the journey through life will become much more satisfying – happier, easier.
At the end of the day, the only reason we want something is because we think when we have it we will be happy, but there is always something more to want, so enjoy this moment, and never put joy on hold.
