We always tend to look for and find all the reasons we think we can’t get the things we want. When we do that we put negative beliefs on our path that act as obstacles making it harder for us to get to the things we want. In the meantime, our Inner-Being and that which we call God, is calling to us “come this way, come this way, come this way” to a path that seems like it is going to lead us away from the things we want, but in reality it is actually leading us where we want to go in a roundabout way that avoids all the obstacles we have put on our path. (For fuller discussion grab the book Thrive). Because it seems like we are going the wrong way, we feel unhappy and start thinking that things are not working out for us when in reality they are. In reality, God is guiding us to what we want. When we think that things are not working out for us, we put more obstacles on our way – in fact, what could be a bigger obstacle that a belief like that? Been there, done that, and know better now myself.
I know that the emotional pain we feel when things are not working out for us is so intense that we find ways to deal with it. For some of us that means not wanting too much for the fear of not getting it (that’s why the poor stay poor for example), and for others like me, it means that we numb our feelings by withdrawing the antenna that links us to our guidance – we don’t want to pay attention to the pain because we “want to be strong”. So we never clean up our vibrational mess, we just sweep it under the carpet. You see, we fail to realize that the pain we feel is guidance that is telling us that the way we are thinking our thoughts does not serve us and we need to do something about it. If we could start seeing all our emotions as guidance our lives would be so different – happier, more satisfying. You see, guidance comes in the form of emotion and if we brush the emotion away we are not acting on our guidance. We can’t think ourselves there, we have to feel and think and feel and think.
So you see, we already have guidance – we just need to pay attention to it, we need to allow ourselves to feel it.
Allow yourself to feel your guidance today…feel what your Inner-Being is telling you to eat, feel what your Inner-Being is telling you to wear, feel what your Inner-Being is telling you to say and do. Follow your guidance, today and everyday.
