When you see someone, what is the first thing you notice about them?
When you decide to say something, do you ask yourself “is this a positive thing to say?” and “how can I say it better?”
When you are on your own thinking your thoughts, do you stop and consider the trajectory of your thoughts? Do you ask yourself “which way am I headed with this?”
Do you see all things that happen as a step in the right direction? Do you look for and find something to appreciate in the mix?
Appreciation is bigger than anything else because appreciation lifts our spirits, it feels good. Once you finish your 40 days work, that’s all you have to do – become an appreciator.
Remember that when you give advice it comes from your perspective and your experience does not have to be the same as someone else’s – give advice only when you can be positive. Don’t try to save people from things, because no one needs to be saved – everyone has their own guidance – everyone has their own connection with God and the Universe. When you interact with someone, tell yourself you want to leave them feeling better than they did before. Sometimes that means keeping your mouth shut. Just because you see things differently doesn’t mean you have to talk about it and it doesn’t mean that your perspective is the only right one. Nothing can ever go wrong, because everything we want is possible, and we are always on our way to something.
The more you ask yourself the question “what can I appreciate just now in this moment?” the more practice you will get and then it will just become your natural response.
Nothing is ever the end of the world. Things are only as important as you make them. Give appreciation priority in your life and start feeling good now rather than waiting for something to change so that you can feel good.
Appreciate, appreciate, appreciate…feel the warmth of love warm you on the inside. That is the only manifestation we need; everything we want is because we think it will give us that good feeling, but we can create that good feeling anytime we want. That is the real secret.
