As you know I struggled a lot with money and abundance and turned all of that around so I’m going to share with you the 10 signs of an abundant mindset that are based on my personal journey.

  1. The number one sign of an abundant mindset is eagerness about living. When you're eager about living and you wake up and jump out of bed because you're excited to get into your day, that is a sign of an abundant mindset. That sort of eagerness about life comes from the top of the emotional scale - and if you are high on the emotional scale then abundance of all sorts is showing up for you.
  2. Finding money – if you're someone who finds money, coins on the ground all the time, it is an indication of the Universe winking at you to let you know that you are on track to allowing more money in. The thing to do is to celebrate it and really milk it.
  3. You receive unexpected gifts all the time whether big or small whether it's a coffee or you win something or you're going to a store and you have a buy one get one free deal going on or a major discount on something that you wanted.
  4. Your friends change; you start feeling comfortable hanging out with people who are affluent and who are displaying their affluence. You start feeling comfortable in their company because I’ll tell you something if you don't have money of your own hanging out with people who have money feels really, really uncomfortable.
  5. You no longer feel guilty when you spend money. If you were to go and just spoil yourself with something new, you don't feel guilty doing that. You feel that you absolutely deserve it and why shouldn't you? and why wouldn't you? You don’t come home with your shopping and feel remorse, feeling like you should return what you bought because you spent too much money on it, and how will you pay for other bills that are sure to show up.
  6. Your concept of money and what is expensive has changes - you don't consider big ticket, big ticket anymore. I remember that long ago buying a piece of clothing that was priced at ten dollars seemed like a lot of money and now I am happy to pay many times that. When price tags seem a lot, then they remain a lot – the Universe perpetuates things.
  7. You no longer fear losing money. I was always worried that something would break down and then I would have another bill to pay; I used to be afraid of my car breaking down; I used to be afraid of dentist bills and all sorts of bills. I used to be afraid that a bill would hit me, and it would wipe me out for the whole month or maybe two or three months. That fear is gone and that's an indication of more money coming. It’s all about changing your self-talk and when you do your manifestations change – it’s not about doing things that are beyond your means – “no” not at all. Stay within your means but stop living in fear.
  8. You are not ashamed or embarrassed when you talk about money, and you don't mind telling people how much money you make. I remember a time when I used to be embarrassed telling people how much I made because it was so little. This has an impact on your sense of self-worth. You have to restore yourself worth by telling yourself that you are not stuck, and that you are moving forward, and your money situation is temporary. Even though your progress might be slower than you want it to be, tell yourself that you are heading in the right direction.
  9. You no longer obsess over paying bills. Bills come and you pay them with ease and flow. When money is in short supply you feel constricted every time you pay a bill and feeling ease and flow of paying a bill is an abundant mindset. It starts with being thankful every time you pay a bill.
  10. Last and very extremely importantly you feel good about the ways in which money comes into your life. Ken Honda calls it happy money in his book Happy Money. Happy money means that the money that I earned came to me in in ways that make me feel good about myself. I did not lie or cheat, I don't feel that I took it away from someone else, I feel good about the way in which money comes to me, and when you feel good about the way money comes to you more money comes to you.
When I lay it out in point form – it seems pretty simple and common sense – but I know in practice it takes time to get there. Sometimes asking for help accelerates progress. If you need help with improving your money mindset, don’t hesitate to ask for help. Send me your questions and I will do my best to respond.
Much love,
Zehra
