Law of attraction: We teach from our own perspective

Of course I always knew this, but somehow when I heard Abraham say it – something clicked into place.

I guess the best teacher would be one who led the student in a manner that allowed them to do their own vibrational work.  Isn’t that exactly what Abraham always says about Jesus?  He sew people as whole and well and complete, and as he held them as his point of focus he saw them as such.  The only way that this is possible is by feeling a tremendous feeling of love.  It’s not a visualization as much as a blast of loving energy that says, I know where you are is not a permanent place, and I know that you can find your way.

First and foremost, people who flocked to Jesus, felt his love and knew of his healing energy, so my guess is that they would already be psyched up to expect a miracle.  Expectation is everything.  That expectation would in fact move them straight into hopefulness and from there it would be easy for them to step into the vortex.  So indeed, they did do their own energy work, Jesus did not do it for them, however, their belief in his ability caused an emotional shift within them that enabled them to give up their resistance.

Love is indeed a very powerful emotion.

So a teacher is basically an enabler, while the student does their own learning.  Hummm….imagine telling the Board of Education that our children can do their own learning!  When a teacher believes that the student can learn they enable learning, and when they believe that most of their students cannot learn they hinder learning.

We limit our ability to teach and to learn when we try to explain to others why they should do things in a certain way in order to get certain results.  Just because we witnessed a cause and effect relationship, does not mean that the same cause and effect relationship will apply to them as well.  It’s like saying “don’t use that knife, because I cut myself with it, so the same will happen to you”.  If you cut your self, your manifestation had to do with where your vibration was at the time.

It is important to understand this as a parent because all parents regard themselves as teachers.  Because of Abraham I now understand that what I think and feel and believe is generally communicated to my children through osmosis – no words required.  Children can feel our vibration.  So if I feel scared that my little one will burn themselves on the hot stove, that little one can sense my discomfort.  In some instances they will be scared and not attempt to go near the hot stove and in other instances they will be propelled towards it.

I remember listening to Abraham say in one of the workshops that when we hold an expectation about our children our power of influence is so great that sometime it is our energy that propels them into an unwanted action.  For example, the child who feels the parents discomfort due to the hot stove may touch the stove even though they know it will hurt because in that moment they are propelled by our vibration.

When you start understanding how vibration impacts everything around us; the behavior of others, and all things, you start understanding how important it is to feel the vibration of love.  Invoke love in your heart before you do anything – just because feeling love feels so good.  You don’t have to feel love for the thing or person before you, although if you can that would put you in line with those such as Jesus! I usually invoke the feeling of love by thinking of hugging one of my children or seeing them in my minds eye being the wonderful beings that they are.

As Abraham says, it is important to trigger the feeling, the Universe does not distinguish between the love you feel when you gaze upon your child or the love you feel when you gaze at a tree, it is the fact that you were in the feeling place of love that is the most important thing.  Feeling love is important because it feels good and also because when we feel love we can do no harm to anything in our environment.
