In the later half of 2011 Abraham started talking about the Grid.  As we evolve and expand, Abraham is evolving, growing and expanding as well.  I have felt Abraham grow over the years.  I feel that Abraham's shift in the method of explaining alignment and manifestation are indicators of their growth.  It's interesting to go from the stream to the emotional scale, to the vortex and now to the grid.  How is the Grid different? How do we use the Grid? How do we create the Grid? Here is my understanding of it.

As I understand it, the Grid is created automatically. Everytime we desire an outcome we are creating a grid.  We can create a negative grid, if our focus is on the absense of something wanted.  Because we are focusing on the absense of it, we are expanding the absence.  Where ever we put our focus that is where we create.  If we are enjoying the feeling of thinking the thought, we are creating a positive grid.  The grid filling in is the manifestation of wanted or unwanted.
I had an "Aha" moment when I understood that feeling an emotion is the first step towards manifestation.  Something appearing in your life, as real knock on wood stuff or an event - all starts with a feeling.

I had another "Aha" moment when I understood that emotions are "general". When you feel happy in response to something your child did, or you feel happy because you just lost 10 lbs, the feeling of happy is the same.  Happy does not change based on the outcome you are witnessing.  Happy is happy.  If you can feel the feeling then you are calling positive elements of completion to fill in the holes of your grid.  That is why, it is not important to start with being specific.  That is why Abraham says “go general, go general, go general”.  Once you have learnt how to get into the positive feeling place with ease, then you can start focusing on the specifics – this will result in the grid filling in faster and a feeling of greater satisfaction.

I have started loving the grid analogy because it reminds me that I do not have to fill in the grid. Figuring out the specifics is not my job - it is the job of the universe.  If I were to try to fill in the grid myself by wanting things to happen in only the way I can conjure based on my knowledge, then I am limiting the universe from using it’s vast knowledge of everything in creation to make the seemingly impossible possible.  It is so much better to have faith.  To know that the knowledge that the universe possesses is far greater than I could ever have access to in this life, so why even try?
