One way or another
There is always a short, direct route into the vortex to all the things we want, but it is not always the easiest route.
When we have a lot of resistance on our path in the form of negative beliefs, that shortest route is the most difficult one to take. It’s like intentionally banging into a brick wall and getting hurt.
You can tell that you are doing that because life feels as if it’s stuck and you’re not moving forward.
You are right to worry about the fact that the things you want are not coming because manifestation is one of the things that lets you know if you are thinking your thoughts on purpose. So when things you want don’t come to you, stop and say to yourself “hummm…I must be thinking thoughts that don’t serve me without knowing it – what can I do to change that?”
Because you are unaware of the thoughts that are holding you back, you cannot go looking for them. In fact, looking for them just makes things worse because you start asking the question “what am I doing wrong?” Where is the focus in that thought – yes it is on the word “wrong”. Does something going wrong feel good? No, of course not. So when you focus there then the law of attraction matches you up with other things that are going wrong. Make sense?
What you need to do is to start making a conscious effort to think thoughts of gratitude and appreciation. When you do this, you raise your vibration. It’s like you have obstacles on the path but your positive vibration gives you the ability to fly over them to your destination. Just close your eyes and try to picture that for a moment. Who cares what your negative beliefs are if all you have to do is to find the energy to fly over them!
Here’s another really important thing to understand: when you don’t do the vibrational work to feel better, because you are oblivious to the fact that your thoughts are getting in the way, your inner-being does not abandon you. In this situation it is not possible for you to take the short route so your inner being leads you through the longer route.
The longer route takes time – that is obvious. The longer route also has obstacles or negative beliefs along the path so it is not a smooth sailing path but it is a path that you can make your way through. This is the path of hard work, where you are not using your intuition as much as you could. It takes longer and feels harder – but it important thing is that even the hard path will get you there eventually. That is because your desire never stops calling you. It is like a magnet.
Imagine this scene: there is a giant magnet pulling you to the things you want. Your path is littered with obstacles. There are brick walls everywhere – some are bigger than others. You have a blindfold over your eyes so you cannot see, but you have friend – your inner-being who is holding your hand and taking you through the maze of brick walls that you built without knowing what you were doing. Every time you say “it’s taking too long” another brick wall goes up – so the maze keeps getting bigger and bigger, but eventually your inner-being will find a way to get you through it. But you are not completely helpless, you could remove the blindfold from your eyes and give up all your negative thinking and your path would clear up in no time at all.
Do you see the big picture now?

Thanks for this helpful post. I'm starting to wonder - what is the 'magnet of my desire' versus the 'old pipes'? If I continually have thoughts of following my dream of being a coach I am starting to ask myself if this is truly my magnet or are these thoughts merely old pipes and I should discard this now quite old dream and follow a new one? Why I haven't yet put this into action? Single parenthood and financial responsibilities...
