I believe that all nations want the same things. At the end of the day, we want peace and prosperity and the right to live our lives with dignity and joy. I believe that regardless of who is elected, it is the hope that kindles in the hearts of people that makes America great. The United States of America has always been a beacon of hope. People from all over the world have made it their home in the search for freedom and livelihood, because of the eternal hope that permeates the fibre of its society.
In everything that has happened over the last few weeks what I am feeling is a surge of hope – hope for a better future and the willingness to allow it to be. And that in my opinion is what sets America apart and makes it the great nation that it is. Hope springs eternal in the human heart because of trust – trust that the future can be better than the past; trust that things are always working out for us, trust that all things are possible. Put that hope and trust in a higher power instead of putting it in the hands of a government that is puny in comparison and you will see the impossible become possible. I wish our neighbours in the South all the best, and look forward to visiting them soon.
