The shopping cart game

A couple of months ago I started playing a game when I went grocery shopping - it kinda just happened on it's own, but it has been a powerful reminder to me about how easy it is to manifest the things we want.
So here's how it all started.

It all started the day I went to get grocery but did not have a quarter to get a shopping cart.  As I was driving to the store, I said to myself "wouldn't it be nice if I could get a free cart?"  then I got busy appreciating the trees on my way there and of course listening to Abraham in the car.

I parked my car and guess what? not very far away there was an abandoned cart with the quarter still in it! Fantastic!  That day I got paid to do my grocery - not only that but when I came out there was another abandoned cart just behind my car.  Wow! I thought - this is pretty powerful stuff.

The next week as I set out to go grocery shopping I smiled and thought about what had happened last time, and wondered if it would happen again.  What do you think?  Yeah! I got a free grocery cart again and came home richer by a quarter.

So now for the past many months it has become a game I look forward to.  I have noticed that when I am not as high flying, there is no cart for me going into the store.  But it makes me realize that I am not on a high flying disc and as I move through the store I appreciate so many things and the fact that we eat well and that I have the money to pay for all the grocery, and how much fun we will have with the ice cream I just bought etc - and what do you know? every time, there is a shopping cart with a shiny quarter waiting for me to come out of the store.  There have even been times when I have found abandoned carts without quarters in them - but the point is I find the carts.

Not only that, it has helped me spot the very subtle difference in feeling between being on a high flying disc that brings me the disc and a less high flying disc where the cart appears for me when I am leaving the store.  It has helped me to get more deliberate about using Abraham's processes.

I got my cart today - but I noticed that the fun of the game was over for me now - this game is boring - it is time to find a new one.  Abraham is right, we can't stay in the vortex for too long - it is boring if we do.  We need to come out and experience the contrast, and it does not seem like a very difficult thing to do when you know how to get back into alignment!

Are you going to try the game?  If you do, I would really appreciate it if you came back here and left a comment for us to read - it will make it so much more fun!

All my love,
Zehra

Zehra, that was fun and so true!

For anyone who may not get the cart/quarter thing, certain stores have a genius deposit system for getting people to bring their carts back to the corral. They lock them together, then only release one cart by putting a quarter into a little box next to the handle area. No quarter = mo cart...when you lock your cart back in, your quarter pops back out.

I don't have any stores like this in our current location, but I used to and I remember those 'frisky' moments I had when I'd leave my quarters in, knowing how fun it felt to get them for free! Who knew a quarter could inspire such fun? lol No thrill lasts forever though - there's always something new and fresh to explore! Yahoo!

I'm very new to your blog but I love it! You know, just yesterday while listening to Abraham, I was thinking how awesome it would be to hear more from Esther herself on daily life with Abraham and how she does the processes, what she's learned etc...Abraham's always telling stories about her and I'd really love to hear her talking about her stories from her physical perspective - sort of the way you're doing here.

Hi Willow, thank you for adding the detail. You are right, many people around the world might not be familiar with the deposit system. It helps to know how it works.
Much love and appreciation.

Hello Zehra,
I really love your site; I love the clarity of it and the ease I feel when I am scrolling through it. With regard to creating, you already know some of my funny stories. Since I am learning of Abraham's teachings, I have seen that the real clue indeed is feeling good! Do you remember how I created the cover or lid for my juicer? Is that story too vulgar for your site? I hope not, because creation is fun and fun you get all kinds of ways.
In much appreciation,
Ken.

Hello My Dearest Friend Ken,
Nothing is vulgar to me any more as I understand LOA more and more, and I do remember your story - it was wonderful - I would love to post it on my blog - I think tonight.
Much love and appreciation.

Thank you for this great story. It sounds like fun. But, as a newbie I must ask: I thought that there was (at least sometimes) a bit of time between when you set the intention and when the physical manifestation is able to align itself with your vibration. How, then, are we able to manifest carts in a matter of minutes? Is it that some creations require divine timing, and others do not?

Also, which is it? Are we supposed to intend something and then forget about it, or intend something and visualize it and vibrate as if we already have it?

Again, I am new and sometimes the information seems to conflict.

Thanks for the insight!

Your videos and posts are very enjoyable.

Hi Amanda,
There does not need to be a buffer of time between asking and getting - the less resistance you have, the easier it is to manifest. We have beliefs about things like money and health that keep us from manifesting results on those fronts as quickly as the cart with the coin.
The cart with the coin was not important to me - it was just a game for fun, so I got results so quickly - but there are so many other things that I am working on that are taking much longer.
It has nothing to do with the object you want to create - it has to do with your vibration.
The more resistance you have over something the better it is to forget about it - or work on the resistance by going general. The better you feel about it and the more feeling of certainty you have the better it is to go specific and visualize it again and again. The visualization does not make it come faster - the visualization is just a tool to help make you feel better.
There is no conflict in these teachings, but it does take time to get clarity.
Much love,
Zehra

Oops, I have one more question!

What do you mean when you say that you shouldn't stay in the vortex too long? I thought that was the point.

If I manifest the soul mate of my dreams, and then I get him, wouldn't the point be to stay with him? What do you mean by stepping out of the vortex for contrast?

Thanks.

Abraham has said many times that if you were always in the vortex you would be dead. The vortex is a place of extreme calm and satisfaction - and it becomes boring to stay in it for too long. The contrast of life is important because when you step outside the vortex, then you appreciate the feeling you feel when you get back in. Make sense?
Once you manifest a relationship, now you are co-creating together, and the contrast you will experience will come from experiencing the world together - it does not need to come from ending the relationship and getting into another one. With relationships it is always best to create them from a higher disc - then you know for sure you made the right decision. You can never make the right decision about anything from a lower disc.
Much love,
Zehra

Zehra,

Thank you so much for these thoughtful and helpful answers.

It does make sense that the more important something is to us, the more resistance we will have to it, because we are putting more pressure on it, and have more feelings to work through before we can match the vibration.

What you say about the vortex is very interesting. I think I understand. It's more about getting into the vortex to manifest one dream, and then moving on, working on the next, always progressing with a new goal.

Thank you for taking the time to share your insight!

I don't get how you can get bored in the vortex when being bored is an outside the vortex emotion.
I know you wouldn't be able to always stay inside tho. But I think a lot of expansion can be by inspiration rather than deprivation. Just as I'm planning the garden. I don't have all the plants yet, I haven't dug all the badds but I love dreaming and browsing thru seed catalogues and go to garden centres and get inspired by what I'll be able to do.
Or when I used to go hillwalking and feel inspired by the next ridge and the next...
I think manifestation will take longer if there are more moving parts involved, but maybe that's not necesssary either. I'm thinking like if I want a house then maybe the peole who live there must feel inspired to move elsewhere and so on. But I guess even that could be faster if we don't fret about it.

Thanks for your post Zehra, I've had a simular experience with parking spaces. It would always be a close one when I went shopping until I started to think that I should utilize where I park as a means of more exercise. You are right it can get boring but that is because we are constantly expanding to more desires. We will never get it done and we will never get it right and good things happen to us naturally!!!

This reply is for Margot:
I so appreciate your comment. You are right, it is possible to live life completely inside the vortex. Being bored with a creation or game and wanting to play another game does not have to be done from outside the vortex. It's is the same as wanting a red jeep, getting a red jeep and then starting to want a blue BMW. Soon as a desire comes to fruition another one is born. I was done with the shopping cart game and wanted to do something new - that would be a challenge and more fun - and that sort of boredom is totally inside the vortex.
This is a wonderful example of "Perspective" - we all see things differently and want different things.
Blessings!

Wow, your blog has changed! It's been a while since I've been here. You're such an excellent story teller - I LOVE the awesomeness of what most would call "little things". Big things are cool too, obviously, but you know you're on the mark when "little things" blow your socks off!! Or, in my case, when reading about somebody ELSE'S "little things" blows your socks off, LOL! ooxx

Hi Zehra,

this article again made me realize how little fun we grown-ups are having in our daily life!

As a kid and adolescent I have played all kinds of games and while reading your article I was just wondering why I don't do it nowadays....I think I will have to remember that all is just for the fun of it!!!

I am looking forward to playing the shopping cart game, as well as the game "which color will the next car....be" and similar stuff. Just have to think like a kid more often, I guess.

Thanks for reminding me and bless you,
Klaus :)
