This question was sent in by Lucia, and I want to thank her for allowing me to share the contents of our communication.
I have a couple of questions that I would like to ask you. In the A-H recordings I have heard that when we start learning the teaching of A-H it is natural to let all hell let loose. What exactly does that mean?
The other question is: "If this life experience has inspired the desire within me, this life experience has the wherewithal to fulfill it down to the very last detail."
But there is another paragraph that reads: "Most of you have given enough thought to what you want to keep you happily busy for 10 or 20 lifetimes, but your manifestation cannot get to you because your door is closed."
Does that mean that if we let it come by releasing resistance we can get everything in this lifetime experience? or As we are eternal being, our desires keep accumulating and whatever is not fulfilled in this lifetime, it will realized in the next 10 to 20 lifetimes? Thanks for clarifying these for me.
All hell breaking loose when you start Abraham work!
You are so right! I have heard Abraham say this many times over and over again. Just like when you first start to learn to walk as a baby, you fall many times before you start getting it right. When you learn how to ride a bike, you come away with many scraped knees (at least you did when I was a kid!) before you have full control. And so it is with the principles of the law of attraction.
We know that walking means putting one step in front of the other, and we observe so many people doing it with so much ease – but when a baby takes it’s first step, it doesn’t know how to balance it’s weight, it doesn’t know how much distance to put between one foot and the other, it doesn’t know how to shift it’s weight from one foot to the other…and so it is with law of attraction. We understand it intellectually. Our live experience shows us all the connections and we accept that it should work, but it takes time to get it right. This is usually because we need to change our habit of thought – and that takes time. The other thing that goes wrong is that we start looking for the manifestations to show up, and that actually pushes the very things we want away from us. So an intellectual understanding of the law of attraction increases our wanting and therefore the momentum of our desires, whereas we have not really learnt to keep pace with this momentum – if we did, we would have our manifestations in real time. That’s why all hell breaks loose – it has the capacity to drive you crazy thinking “Ok, now I know how to manifest – so where’s my stuff”. Make sense?
Let me tell you what happened to me.
I was familiar with the Law of Attraction before I met Abraham. When I met Abraham, I was excited. I thought I had the key to manifest all the abundance and the relationship I so wanted to have in my life. At this point in time I was doing extremely well professionally, and already had a six figure income with company accolades, paid holidays etc. Everything was going smoothly. I went on the Mexico cruise with Abraham in January and then on the Alaska cruise in July, with both my children.
I had dealt with most of my baggage from my divorce, but there was always the fear in my mind that my ex who was overseas but had joint custody would return to Canada one day and take my child away. That is exactly what happened between the Mexico cruise and the Alaska cruise – he made the move and upon our return from Alaska whisked my son away.
I pointed all my attention to this one thing in my life that was not going well. I did the work – I did the meditation, I did the lists of positive aspects and the focus wheels with ferocious energy. The result – my son was restored to me without my taking any action at all by September.
In the meanwhile on the business side of things – I thought, I have no worries here, it’s Ok for me to take my focus away from business and place it on my son – after all making money is not about hard work? I did not curtail my lifestyle, and by September, the realization had hit that things were not good. It took me two years of Abraham work to recover from the financial fiasco I created.
Looking back, I know that I intellectually understood that making money was not about hard work – but I still had an active belief inside me that said, if I don’t go looking for business, it will not show up. I enjoyed my work as a financial advisor a lot but I did not enjoy the sales aspect of it and so as far as selling is concerned I felt that what I had achieved to-date was a result of hard work. I believed that I need to do the sales stuff in order to get business - I had not changed that belief and yet, I expected my results to be different.
I should have known better – and it all seems so easy now, but at the time it did feel as if all hell was breaking loose. I know I felt bad all the time, but it was hard figuring it all out on my own – now I am in a position, where I can coach people through it all.
I understand now that we have to be on a high flying disc for all aspects of our life to work and to reflect this. I understand how important it is to have positive beliefs – and more than anything I now understand what it means to have faith.
"If this life experience has inspired the desire within me, this life experience has the wherewithal to fulfill it down to the very last detail." But there is another paragraph that reads: "Most of you have given enough thought to what you want to keep you happily busy for 10 or 20 lifetimes, but your manifestation cannot get to you because your door is closed."
Does that mean that if we let it come by releasing resistance we can get everything in this lifetime experience? or As we are eternal being, our desires keep accumulating and whatever is not fulfilled in this lifetime, it will realized in the next 10 to 20 lifetimes?
When you think of something that you prefer, at that moment it is created by source and put into the vortex. You have access to your creation if you can bring yourself into complete alignment with the thing that you created. This is true and most people understand this at least intellectually.
You have raised a question that I too had considered many times a number of years ago.
So here’s what I figured out – pieced together from listening intensely to Abraham and a then some help from Abraham.
Source is like a soup of energy – let’s say that it looks like an ocean. Each of us and all living things are like waves that emanate from the ocean. Each wave has a clearly separate identity from another wave. Each wave is connected to the ocean at all times. Each wave runs it’s course or it’s lifetime and returns back to collapse into Source or the ocean.
Every time any living thing defines a preference, Source creates it and it is held in side the ocean – or the vortex in an energy form. Moving from the ocean to the wave involves a change in the energetic form of the preference we have defined.
When we are in higher energy levels, there is ease and flow of energy from the ocean to the wave – represented by the current. In this state the current moves from ocean to waves – back and forth all the time. This is how creation is supposed to be.
Some waves gather debris as they go to and fro, rocks, sea weed, shells and other stuff (resistance), these interfere with the easy movement of the waves.
The important thing is that once something is created, it is in the vortex or the ocean, and now all the waves connected to the ocean have access to it. This explains why when one person in one part of the world has an idea for a new invention, someone else working on the same sort of thing in another part of the world has the same idea. Once the idea is put in the vortex everyone has access to it – not only the person who created it. It is also the reason why people can paint or create music that they had never heard before but was out there in the vortex.
Over our lifetimes, everything that we create by giving our attention to it is stored in the vortex, and the instant in which we align ourselves with it, it is manifested. Most times, things that we create – we keep refining so we really don’t want the earliest versions of it – for example, I don’t still want to manifest a toy that I had wanted as a child, but it is still in the vortex, and I can manifest it in any of my future lifetimes if I wanted it and aligned with it, it would be there. Nothing that is created in thought is ever destroyed, but we are not always ready for it and that it why sometimes manifestations take time.
Take the example of the medical scanning device used in Star Trek – we have those now, including the cell phones and many other things. The imagination of a storyteller created them and put them in the vortex, and then millions of people over 3-4 generations focused on these gadgets with wonder and amazement – not one of us said – “Oh rubbish! This will never be”, we all enjoyed the story and had countless happy dreams of exploring the universe – boldly going where no one had gone before.
Abraham are right when they say we have already created so much stuff that manifesting it would keep us busy for many lifetimes – but the truth is that we keep refining what we want and creating better versions of it and that is why we keep reaching for more every time.
Going back to the analogy of the ocean and Source – each drop of water has an independent existence when it is out side the ocean but when it is inside the ocean it is totally one with it and cannot be separated – that is exactly how all souls are. That is why Source can be everywhere and focus through the eyes of a fly as well as focus through our human eyes.
Souls maintain a continuing thread from all their lifetimes. So if your thing is music you will have an affinity for it through all your lifetimes, and so on.
The short answer is that you can not only keep manifesting your own creations but those of others over many lifetimes.
