Money, and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Wealth, Health, and Happiness
This book has been a life changer for me.  It is my wish that it may be the same for you.  Having the prosperity that I want has been a big part of my life’s journey – but the impact of this book goes way further than that.

First of all, this book is not just about manifesting money – only half of it is.  The other half of this book is about health and bodily conditions.  Really, if they wanted to, Esther and Jerry Hicks could have released two completely separate books.

My biggest take from this book was the morning and night time processes or affirmations.  I wrote these down on cue cards and kept them at my bedside.  I also bought the audio version of the book and took the snippets with these affirmations and put them on a CD that I could listen to all day every day.  The affirmations are extremely general in nature and highly effective in changing our point of focus.  They make us think about what is really important.  I think it must be at least 6-7 years since I read the book, but I still use these affirmations every day.  I think that they are powerful and the greatest gift that Abraham could have shared with us all.

The book contains specific words to offer to create greater ease about the subject of money and the subject of health.  Abraham calls these “my new story about money” and “my new story about my body”.

If you know of someone who is working on any sort of serious illness or body condition, and if they are open to working with the principles of the law of attraction, then this book would be a game changer for them for sure.

If you know of someone who is capable of living a much bigger and vital, prosperous life than they are currently living and if you feel called to do so, then send them the gift of this book.  This book is amazing and there is power in Abraham’s words.

Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires
Ask & It is Given is one of Abraham-Hicks’ most important books because it contains practical tools that can be applied to any situation, with examples on how to use them.  I learnt a lot from reading this book, and over a period of time I have experimented with all the tools in it.  Abraham calls thee tools processes.

The book is divided into two clear sections.  The first section lays the foundation for understanding the law of attraction and the second section contains.  The processes show us how to think our thoughts in order to achieve the results we want to achieve.

One of the most important contributions of this book to my understanding of the law of attraction was the “emotional scale”.  It is easy to understand the concept of the emotional scale, and it is the most important element in understanding how our vibrations contribute to our results.  This book helped me to understand that my only work on a daily basis was to look for thoughts that would take me up the emotional scale.  The emotional scale consists of 22 different emotions, and Abraham has given us as many processes.  They also tell us which process will work best at different levels of the emotional scale.  The examples of how to use our words are amazing.  When I read the examples, and then started noticing what I was doing with my thoughts I began to see how I could improve.

The Vortex: Where the Law of Attraction Assembles All Cooperative Relationships
This book is all about relationships and co-creation with others.  It is a very clarifying book.  It talks about how we grow up and learn things from the people around us.  It deals with a lot of questions about right and wrong especially with respect to our relationship with others.

The book gets pretty specific as it talks about all the different roles we play in life, that of a child, a sibling, a friend, a parent, a partner or spouse, an employee, a citizen and countless others.  It explains why people act the way they do, and how we are responsible for the behavior we derive and how we can change that.

The book is organized in an interesting manner, the chapters are 22 false premises about how things work and Jerry guides us through asking questions that we have all asked at some point in time.

I think that my biggest take away from this book was learning that I am really truly in control of how others behave towards me and that I have power of influence over them, meaning that I can change how they behave simply by thinking about them and about my relationship with them differently.  Learning this has helped me to improve all my relationships, especially with my children – you see it is one thing to love your children and quite another thing for your children to actually feel loved.

Life becomes very different when you know that you control the way people behave towards you – there are no guessing games any more, no more politics in the family or at work; it’s just a very happy, very peaceful way to live.

The Astonishing Power of Emotions: Let Your Feelings Be Your Guide
This book comes with a CD at the back.  I love the CD more than words can convey.  I listened to the CD before I read the book – it was just easier to do as I could pop it into the car deck as I went about my day.  Abraham are at their funniest in this CD.  I had never heard them speak before, and I am so glad that this was the first piece I heard from them because I fell in love… and to this day continue to be in love with Abraham.  The CD contains a very important analogy – the analogy of the “stream”.  In the book and in the CD Abraham explains what resistance is and how it prevents us from getting what we want.  They explain the difference between rowing uphill and downhill and the role of effort in achieving success.  They explain how our emotions are actually an important guidance system that tells us whether we are on track, going in the direction of the things we want or if we are paddling in the opposite direction from them.

It was because of this book that I worked on re-establishing my connection with my emotions.  You see, I had learnt to brush my feelings aside, to be brave in all situations, to push through adversity, to work hard for all the things I wanted and this book turned all of this on its head.  It made me challenge what I knew and get clear on how things worked.

A wonderful wonderful wonderful book. You’ll know what I mean when you read it.

The Law of Attraction: The Basics of the Teachings of Abraham
This was the first Abraham-Hicks book that I read.  It is an easy read and lays a good foundation for understanding the law of attraction and the teachings of Abraham.

Before I read this book, I used to think that “opposites attract”, that got totally turned on its head as Abraham teaches “like attracts like”.  It was because of this book that I started understanding why and how thoughts create and attract.

This book was also the beginning of a new journey for me; the journey of searching for alignment.  I began to understand that all the other “stuff” I wanted was miniscule compared to the biggest prize of all: finding alignment.  I began to see a glimmer of the bigger picture that says from a point of alignment all things are possible.  I guess before I read this book, I wanted to believe that all things were possible but I  didn’t really.  After reading this book I “knew” that all things were possible and I knew that all the work I had to do was in my head.

I think it was a great starting point for me and my journey with Abraham.  I think that if you haven’t yet read this book and you have already started your law of attraction journey, that reading this book will give you a big boost in your understanding.  If you are new to the law of attraction, and are comfortable with non-fiction material, then this book is an excellent jumping off place.

Sara, Book 3: A Talking Owl Is Worth a Thousand Words!

I absolutely love the Sara Books.  If you are new to the law of attraction – this is the place to start.

When I first came across the Sara Books, I thought that they were written for children, because the story that illustrated the law of attraction revolves around children aged 10-12.  I bought the books for my children.  I started reading them with my son at bedtime, and fell in love with them.  Then I bought the audio version to listen to in the car.  Trust me when I say, I have read and listened to these books again and again and again.

Of all Abraham-Hicks books these are the very best place to start for someone who is trying to understand the law of attraction in the context of everyday life.  When child and even as an adult.

If you think you understand law of attraction, if you think you are a pro, you will really love these books, because they make it all so simple.  These are my favourite books to recommend to anyone who wants to understand how the law of attraction works – especially those seeks who mostly enjoy fiction and are not used to reading non-fiction.

The main character of the story is Sara.  We learn about how Sara co-creates with her teachers and class fellows at schools, her friends and family and other residents.  We learn about out of body experiences, fears, finding a job, bullying, health and aging, and many many more practical topics.

There are three books in the series and I recommend reading them all.
